The chat on our platform has built in functionality that allows you to share charts from ThinkorSwim, TradingView, or TrendSpider quickly and easily. Here's how to do it.
Sharing charts from TDAmeritrade ThinkorSwim.
Click the Share button at the top of any ThinkorSwim chart.
If you don't see this option, try enlarging the chart as it may be hidden to save space.
The Share Chart window will open, then simply click Share to confirm. The link to the chart will automatically be copied to your clipboard and you can now paste the link within the chat room to display the chart as an image.
Sharing charts from TradingView
In the top right corner, click the Camera Icon to take a snapshot.
Then Copy the URL and you can now paste the link within the chat room to display the chart as an image.
Sharing charts from TrendSpider
In the top right corner of any chart, click the Camera Icon to take a screenshot.
Then Copy the URL and you can now paste the link within the chat room to display the chart as an image.
Sharing from everywhere else using the Windows Snipping Tool and Imgur.
Press Windows Logo Key + Shift + S.
This will allow you to make a selection of anything you'd like to share on your screen and will copy a snapshot to your clipboard.
Go to https://imgur.com/upload and press CTRL + V to paste and upload the image.
Once the image is uploaded, Right-click the image and select Copy Image Location and you can now paste the link within our chat room to display the chart as an image.
Other methods.
The chat will automatically display any image links as an image if the URL ends in .PNG, .JPG, .JPEG, or .GIF as long as it is from a publicly accessible source.
